GSR, a crypto market-making firm, filed with the SEC on Wednesday to launch the first ETF designed to track public companies that maintain cryptocurrency on their balance sheets.&nbsp;The proposed GSR Digital Asset Treasury Companies ETF would offer investors a way to access firms that have raised equity to purchase digital assets and keep them on their balance sheets.&nbsp;According to the SEC&nbsp;<a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1771146/000199937125013876/gsr-485apos_092425.htm#gsr485aposa001">filing</a>, companies would be weighted based on market capitalization and crypto holdings, with periodic reviews to ensure the ETF reflects meaningful digital asset exposure. The fund would also allocate up to 15% to private investments in public equity (PIPEs), subject to ETF liquidity restrictions. The initiative marks GSR’s first foray into ETFs and is part of its newly formed US asset-management division, which recently opened a New York office.Similar ETFs already exist for Bitcoin-focused firms. Grayscale Bitcoin Adopters ETF (BCOR) tracks companies holding BTC on their treasuries, while REX Bitcoin Corporate Treasury Convertible Bond ETF (<a href="http://stocktwits.com/symbol/BMAX">BMAX</a>) targets convertible bonds issued by those firms.&nbsp;GSR’s offering would formalize the strategy into a broader, multi-asset approach at a time when the regulatory environment is becoming more crypto-friendly under the Trump administration.&nbsp;Michael Saylor-backed Strategy (MSTR) pioneered the Bitcoin (BTC)-based corporate treasury strategy and currently holds over 639,800 BTC, reflecting an unrealized gain of roughly 53%. GSR Eyes First-Ever ETF For Companies Holding Crypto On Their Balance Sheets

However, retail sentiment on Stocktwits dipped to ‘bullish’ from ‘extremely bullish’ as chatter fell to ‘high’ from ‘extremely high’ levels over the past day.The initial batch of Solana was acquired through both open-market buys and on-chain transactions. The firm stated that one of the trades, valued at $1 million, was executed via DFlow, a decentralized exchange aggregator designed for Solana applications, with liquidity routed through SolFi. Forward Industries Deploys $1.58 Billion Into Solana Following $1.65B PIPE Raise

Ethereum, however, slipped 0.4% to $4,297.09 after reaching an intra-day high of $4,380.60.However, Solana emerged as a bigger winner, gaining nearly 3% after industrial design services company Forward Industries unveiled plans to raise $1.65 billion to set up a SOL treasury, backed by Galaxy Digital, Jump Crypto, and Multicoin Capital.Wall Street's major indexes rose to near all-time peaks on Monday after a tepid August jobs report. According to the CME Group's FedWatch tool, 89.6% of traders have priced in a 25-basis-point cut, while some are even projecting a larger 50-basis-point cut.A low-rate environment typically fuels an increase in investor risk appetite, leading to gains in assets like equities and cryptocurrencies.On Monday, software firm Strategy revealed that it bought 1,955 Bitcoins for close to $217.4 million.
