The brand did 983 million dollars in US sales over the 12 months through July, per IQVIA. The detail that matters: the approval carries Competitive Generic Therapy designation. That is the FDA's flag for drugs facing inadequate generic competition. Indications are acromegaly, advanced gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors, and carcinoid syndrome. Amneal says it adds a material growth driver to its Affordable Medicines business, made on its own manufacturing lines.
