$BIIB Biogen’s 52-week Phase 2 data for litifilimab in cutaneous lupus, presented at EADV Friday, shows the response curves deepening late. Clear or almost clear skin: 19.0% at week 24, 27.2% at week 52. Disease activity down 70% or more: 21.7% to 28.8%. In a lifelong disease with no approved targeted treatment, that shape matters. New responders are still converting at a year, not just early wins holding. The trial enrolled 93 adults who had not responded to, or could not tolerate, standard antimalarials. Patients who crossed over from placebo at week 24 saw onset as early as four weeks. FDA granted Breakthrough Therapy in January; the Phase 3 part of AMETHYST reads in the first half of 2027. Shares closed at 219.88 Friday, down 1.3%, the fourth straight losing session, about 5% off the Sept 28 high.
