Though it began as a token on the Ethereum network, it eventually migrated to its own autonomous architecture that remains fully compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine. Today, the token's utility includes paying for network gas, participating in staking rewards, and enabling decentralized governance through which holders can vote on technical upgrades and economic changes.

These features are designed to create a more user-friendly experience for interacting with decentralized applications and digital games.  The SUI token is central to the ecosystem, serving as the primary asset for transaction fees and on-chain utility within decentralized exchanges and lending platforms. Users participate in a proof-of-stake mechanism by locking their tokens to support validators and secure the blockchain in exchange for rewards. Additionally, token holders have a role in governance, allowing them to participate in voting on network rules and future protocol upgrades. Value moves through the system through these staking rewards and transaction fees to ensure the platform scales sustainably

Shares of one of India's highest-valued equities, MRF Ltd, climbed as much as 4.8% on Wednesday to Rs 1,41,505 on the BSE after the tyre maker posted a 31% year-on-year surge in fourth-quarter net profit and declared a final dividend of Rs 229 per share.The stock ended Wednesday's session 4.23% higher at Rs 1,40,670.75 on the BSE. The tyre maker reported a net profit of Rs 498 crore for the quarter ended March 2025, compared to Rs 380 crore in the same period a year earlier. Revenue from operations rose 12% during the March quarter to Rs 6,944 crore, up from Rs 6,215 crore in the year-ago quarter.Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) increased 18% to Rs 1,043 crore during the quarter. The EBITDA margin for the March quarter expanded to 15%, indicating improved operating efficiency.Dividend detailsAlongside its results, the company announced a final dividend of Rs 229 per share for FY25, equivalent to 2290% on the face value of Rs 10. This takes the total dividend payout for the fiscal year to Rs 235 per share, including two interim dividends of Rs 3 each that were paid earlier in the year.Despite the steep payout, MRF’s dividend yield remains modest at 0.15%, based on its prevailing stock price of around Rs 1,40,000, according to Trendlyne data.The last dividend paid by MRF was Rs 3 per share, with a record date of February 14, 2025.

Rs 145 cr iSPEED initiative to empower over 2 lakh rubber growers in Northeast

Guwahati, May 1: The Automotive Tyre Manufacturers' Association (ATMA) and the Rubber Board of India have jointly launched the INROAD Skilling and Production Efficiency Enhancement Drive (iSPEED), a Rs 145-crore initiative under the broader Project INROAD (Indian Natural Rubber Operations for Assisted Development). The initiative was unveiled in Guwahati on Wednesday evening by ATMA Chairman Arun Mammen, who is also the Vice Chairman and Managing Director of MRF Ltd, and INROAD Chairman Pravin Tripathi. It aims to directly benefit over two lakh small rubber growers and nursery owners across the Northeast and parts of West Bengal over the next five years. Project INROAD is the first-of-its-kind initiative globally where the tyre industry is directly contributing to the development of rubber plantations. The project is being financially supported by four major tyre companiesApollo Tyres, Ceat, JK Tyre, and MRFand is implemented by the Rubber Board of India. Speaking at the launch, Mammen said, With iSPEED, we are investing in the knowledge and capabilities of Indias rubber growers.
