$NTRA Natera's clinical diagnostics president sold 3,000 shares Thursday, about $1.24 million at an average $414.22 a share (SEC Form 4). It was a pre-arranged 10b5-1 sale, so not a timing call. But the pattern stands out: he has sold into the strength all summer, including 15,160 shares in early September at $326.89, and still holds 106,914 shares worth about $44 million. The valuation arithmetic: Natera closed Friday at $410.35, about 20 percent above the Street's $341.55 average target, after a 25 percent four-week run on quarterly revenue up 37.7 percent YoY to $752.75 million. The tape has moved ahead of the Street's own numbers.

$NTRA Morgan Stanley lifted its target to 435 from 355 on Monday, Overweight kept. That landed three days after the FDA granted Breakthrough Device designation to Natera's multi-cancer early detection assay, based on data across 12 cancer types. It is not an approval. The assay is still investigational, and Natera has not disclosed the sensitivity or specificity numbers behind the designation. Shares closed Monday at 397.77, up about 20% in the last month.
