Odisha government clears 18 projects worth Rs 3,877 crore; over 7,500 jobs ahead
The Odisha government has approved 18 new industrial and infrastructure projects worth Rs 3,877.14 crore, expected to generate 7,565 employment opportunities across 11 districts. The proposals were cleared at the 146th meeting of the State-Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA), chaired by Chief Secretary Anu Garg . The projects will be implemented across Balasore, Deogarh, Ganjam, Jajpur, Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Khordha, Koraput, Puri, Sambalpur and Sundargarh, spanning sectors such as metals, chemicals, healthcare, electronics, logistics and hospitality. Industrial Push Gathers Pace Among the key proposals, Runaya Eckart Aluminium Powders Private Limited will set up an aluminium downstream facility in Jharsuguda with an investment of Rs 300 crore. Expansion plans by Scan Steels Limited, Jay Jagannath Steel and Power Limited and SS Alufoils International Limited across Sundargarh, Sambalpur and Jajpur will see a combined investment of over Rs 1,514.8 crore and generate more than 2,250 jobs.
