$SPOT next couple of days I’m betting on a fraud pump to the upside before earnings, to give headroom for a devastating crash…. Why else would they be oddly shilling audiobooks before er?

eMarketer: Over the last 5e quarters, $SPOT has grown its ad-supported user base from 420M to 490M users. Yet over that same period, ad-supported revs has declined y/y in 4 of the 5 quarters & grew just +1% in the most recent one. The company's 2Q26 results showed total rev growth of +14%, but that performance was driven almost entirely by premium subs, which account for 90% of Spotify's business Spotify leads streaming audio, so its advertising struggles signal broader challenges for the medium. If the category leader can't monetize a massive ad-supported audience, the problem likely lies in how advertisers value audio inventory compared with other digital channels Spotify has poured more than $1B into its podcast business, and executives believe podcast ads could eventually drive 40% margins. That bet rests on what makes podcast audiences different. Most podcasts have tiny but intensely engaged audiences. The average podcast gets just 27 listens in the first week, according to Buzzsprout. Weekly podcast listeners find podcast hosts twice as important as social media influencers, per Cumulus Media, and 67% of global listeners have made a purchase directly because of a podcaster, according to Acast. Just 25% of US adults consider podcast advertising annoying, compared with 50% for online display ads & 46% for $GOOGL YouTube, according to YouGov Spotify is exploring new ways to monetize premium subscribers beyond monthly fees. A partnership with Live Nation gives premium subscribers early access to concert tickets based on how much they stream and share an artist's music. The perk is hard to justify. At $144 per year for Spotify Premium, subs would need to attend multiple concerts annually to justify the expense, and tickets for popular artists remain prohibitively expensive regardless of early access.

$SPOT Audiobooks on Spotify are going global. The digital audio streaming service announced Wednesday that, through the end of 2026, it will expand audiobook access from 22 markets to more than 180. The expansion will bring Spotify audiobooks to more than 750 million people worldwide, giving listeners in new markets access to more than 350,000 titles. The expanded catalog will include books in Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Polish and other languages, spanning more than 120 languages in total. The move comes as demand for audiobooks accelerates. Monthly audiobook listeners grew nearly 40% over the past year, while listening hours increased by more than 30%.

$SPOT can’t seem to get any positive momentum. Been a really shitty stock the last year after being one of the best.

$SPOT StoneX cut Spotify to Hold from Buy on Thursday, a few days before Thursday's Q3 print. It took its Q3 revenue estimate to 4.98 billion euros, just under the company's roughly 5.0 billion guide. The margin guide is already stepping down, 32.9% for Q3 vs a record 33.4% in Q2. StoneX thinks rising per-subscriber label minimums get harder to offset from here, with no broad premium price hike expected in 2027 after three hikes in three years.
thatsolardude365
$SPOT: Discovery Mode itself is not disputed. Artists flag songs for boosts and take a lower royalty, not a cash fee. The suit alleged hiding that was deceptive. Class claims dismissed Apr 30, nothing to claim. Open Class Actions.
topstockalerts
StoneX downgraded Spotify to Hold from Buy, citing limited near-term revenue-per-user catalysts and rising royalty payments to major record labels. Analyst Mark Zgutowicz remains bullish on Spotify’s long-term network effects but expects financial pressure over the next 12 months as higher per-subscriber minimum payments increase royalty costs, particularly on discounted plans. Without another broad Premium price hike in 2027, StoneX expects gross-margin expansion to fall short of consensus, following three price increases in the past three years. Spotify’s AI Remix feature also faces delays because Warner Music and Sony have yet to join existing agreements with Universal Music Group, Merlin and Kobalt. StoneX doubts paid adoption will be significant without another major label and does not expect a large-scale launch before mid-2027. The firm cut its Q3 revenue estimate to €4.98B, slightly below guidance of around €5.0B. $SPOT

$SPOT scoring this morning's what-would-you-do against the tape. The push over 523 came right at the open: it tagged 524.24 in the first 30 minutes, then gave it back, down to 514.38 just before noon ET. 510 never got tested. Buyers showed up about 4 points above it and walked it back, and it's at 522.73 now, right under 523.05 for the second time today. Buying the open push meant sitting through a drop of almost 10 points. Waiting for a pullback got a better price, just not at 510.

$SPOT bounced off its support trendline beautifully and is breaking past the 50WMA in the pre-market! Breaking over $518-520 can have the stock retest its resistance at ~$558
TradeWithInsight
$SPOT what would you do here? It closed Wednesday at 512.92, up 5.1%. That put it right back in the 510-515 area where it closed three days straight in late September before it broke down. The Sep 22 high at 523.05 is the next level overhead. Buy a push over 523, buy the open, or wait to see if 510 holds on a pullback?

Spotify announced a major expansion of its audiobooks service, bringing access to more than 180 markets globally by the end of 2026, up from roughly 22 previously. The rollout will offer more than 350,000 audiobook titles in over 120 languages, potentially reaching around 750 million listeners worldwide. Spotify also signed a distribution deal with Poland’s Legimi, giving Premium subscribers access to more than 20,000 Polish-language audiobooks starting in October. The company will launch audiobooks in India on Nov. 12, opening access to one of the world’s largest untapped audio markets and strengthening its broader content diversification strategy. UBS maintained a Buy rating but trimmed its price target to $675, saying Spotify’s differentiated product offering and potential AI-powered tools, including the anticipated Remix feature, could support additional monetization and operating efficiency. $SPOT

$SPOT Spotify is taking audiobooks global: 180+ markets by year end, up from 22, with the rollout starting today (company announcement, via TechCrunch and AFP). The footprint: 350,000+ titles across 120+ languages, from 300+ publishers, with local-language catalogs (Spain alone gets 45,000+ Spanish-language titles). Potential reach: 750 million users. The money angle: the Audiobook+ standalone tier, launched last year, already has 1 million+ subscribers and over 100 million in annual recurring revenue. Audiobooks were the experiment. This is the scale-up into a second subscription product. Against the tape: Spotify is up about 5% near 514 while the S&P is down ~0.6%. The stock is still ~28% below its 52-week high of 716.86. The number to watch now is Audiobook+ subscribers: 1 million today, with 750 million users getting access by year end.
