Valion Bio's lead candidate is Entolimod (CBLB502), a TLR5 agonist being developed primarily for Acute Radiation Syndrome (ARS). The interesting feature is that it potentially protects both bone marrow and gastrointestinal tissue after radiation exposure. It is also being developed as both a radioprotectant (before exposure) and radiomitigator (after exposure). It has FDA Fast Track and Orphan Drug designations for ARS and is being developed under the FDA's Animal Rule. Valion says it received a formal Request for Information from Ukraine's Ministry of Health concerning evaluation of Entolimod for possible inclusion in Ukraine's national strategic reserves.
