$VST $BE No AI without electricity. Energy for data centers is going to be the biggest business of all in 2027.

$VST Vistra is sitting directly at the bottom a massive weekly triangle, right on the supporting trendline ⬆️
With earnings coming up this Friday morning, looks pretty good for shares. ±8.17% implied move.

Pretty dumb to be selling $VST and $OUST when the hyperscalers miss earnings by like.. 1% or so because all their money is going to pay for power on their data center build as well as lidar sensors for their physical AI build including warehouse robots at $AMZN and Waymo cars at $GOOGL etc.
But whatever, I'll accumulate more cheap shares along with the CEO of VST at this level. I think he knows his business pretty damn well.

Options are implying around a +-9% move. Almost 80% of the time the stock price has stayed within this range on earnings days, and to be exact, it has traded flat to down almost 80% of the time, regardless of what the report looks like. This is a result of profit taking from pushes right before earnings (push is happening now).
What this means:
If the stock does stay within this move, it will end up between low 130s and low 160s, however, taking into account historical moves post earnings, it is looking like it could be between 133-150 (depending on price the day before).
This does not mean it will be held down long term, in fact I believe the oppostie, but statistically it does not look like it will break this range as a result of this Friday's earnings, even with all of the positives that are expected.
Still long.

$VST Q3 is ALWAYS their strongest quarter, add the closing of the acquisition and coming raised guidance, I'm not even adding AI hype, you got a hell of a dip buy here.
I live in Texas, and not only are our electricity bills absolutely higher than they have been in the last decade, but we had a hot, sticky summer and I had to run my A/C longer than the last 5 years. Q3 encompasses July , August, September, the hottest months of the year...
Be patient, be logical, follow the money , the CEO bought a little lower at $138 and knows his business better than anybody.

$VST Bought another LEAP to average down at $118.5… average at $133 if I let them execute. Seems like a steal to me

$VST I am stil confused on how a -10% is warranted just from election results that were mostly expected? Even neoclouds aren’t down this bad, the one I own is only down 3%… it’ll be 2 years of lame duck now with neither side being able to advance anything significant.

$VST notable premarket sell off highlights genuine concerns around political uncertainty, AI data center demand, and energy policy.
However, these risks don’t negate Vistra’s substantial existing power generation assets or its long term nuclear power agreements with major technology companies, including $AMZN and $META.
Does this change the underlying earnings outlook or simply introduce uncertainty that the market is aggressively pricing in?
Watching closely to see if this creates an opportunity at these oversold levels.
