Trump Threatens To 'Test' Disney's ABC Out Over Jimmy Kimmel's Return: 'Yet Another Arm Of The DNC’

The POTUS alleged Kimmel’s jokes could qualify as illegal campaign contributions by the Democrats.

U.S. President Donald Trump congratulated ABC over its decision to pull the "ratings-challenged" late-night show&nbsp;hosted by Jimmy Kimmel after outrage over&nbsp;his comments about the killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk."Congratulations to ABC for finally having the courage to do what had to be done. Kimmel has ZERO talent, and worse ratings than even Colbert, if that's possible," Trump said in a<a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/115222372625104790">&nbsp;post</a> on Truth Social Wednesday night,&nbsp;following news that the network had pulled "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" off air "indefinitely."He added: "That leaves Jimmy and Seth, two total losers, on Fake News NBC. Their ratings are also horrible. Trump Cheers ABC For Axing Jimmy Kimmel’s Show Over Charlie Kirk Remarks, Critics Warn Of Political Crackdown

U.S. President Donald Trump has said he will sue The New York Times, the nation's second-largest newspaper, accusing it of serving the Democratic Party and publishing false and defamatory reports about him.“Today, I have the Great Honor of bringing a $15 Billion Dollar Defamation and Libel Lawsuit against The New York Times, one of the worst and most degenerate newspapers in the History of our Country, becoming a virtual ‘mouthpiece’ for the Radical Left Democrat Party,” he posted on Truth Social late Monday."The ‘Times' has engaged in a decades long method of lying about your Favorite President (ME!), my family, business, the America First Movement, MAGA, and our Nation as a whole," Trump added in the&nbsp;<a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/115211918198289404">long post</a>.The publication "has been allowed to freely lie, smear, and defame me for far too long, and that stops, NOW!" he said, adding that he plans to file the suit in Florida.He cited The Times' front-page "Endorsement of Kamala Harris," without specifying the article or providing examples of other coverage he considers biased.The proposed action is Trump’s latest escalation against news media firms he views as hostile. (DJT)&nbsp;slipped in early premarket trading on Tuesday, following gains in the previous session, after a federal appeals court upheld the $83.3 million awarded against him in the defamation case brought by author Jean E. Carroll in 2019.<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/DJT">Trump Media stock</a>,&nbsp;often seen as a barometer of the president’s political and business moves,&nbsp;closed Monday up 2.2% at $17.05, with trading volume roughly in line with its three-month average.&nbsp;The stock slipped in overnight trading.&nbsp;On Stocktwits, sentiment improved slightly to ‘neutral’ (45/100) early Tuesday from ‘bearish’ the day before, even as message volume eased back to ‘normal’ levels.The ruling, which was yet to be signed by a three-panel judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in Manhattan, was made unanimously, the New York Times <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.nytimes.com/2025/09/08/nyregion/trump-e-jean-carroll-defamation.html">reported.</a>Reacting to the ruling, Trump’s niece, Mary Trump, posted a link to a CNBC article on the same and captioned it as “Winners keep winning, @ejeancarroll and, well, Donald, losers just keep on losing--because they're losers.”The defamation case stemmed from Trump's accusation that Carroll’s claims of him assaulting her in a Manhattan department store in the mid-1990s were “totally false.” He had contended that it was done with the motive of selling her book.&nbsp;The plaintiff sued Trump for defamation in November 2019.
