$GD $LMT Massive gains over a 3 year bull run for dividend stocks. People rotating out of Industrials and into Growth. Defense budget will be cut once there is a change in presidency regardless if Vance gets in. Gonna fade into 2028 imo.

$GD General Dynamics named its next CEO on Wednesday: president Danny Deep takes over January 1, 2027, with Phebe Novakovic moving to executive chairman after 13 years in the job. Deep is a 25-year company man: president since 2025, previously EVP of global operations and combat systems, and president of Land Systems. This was telegraphed, not sprung. The wrinkle: Novakovic's exit comes five days after the surprise departure of Amy Gilliland, who had run GDIT since 2017. Two senior leadership changes in one week at a company that did 52.6 billion dollars of revenue last year. The tape shrugged: shares closed Wednesday at 326.63, down 1.4 percent. Tracking Deep's first moves for any shift in how capital gets allocated across the four segments.

General Dynamics received two U.S. defense awards totaling about $58.6 million, covering armored vehicles and cybersecurity systems for the U.S. military. General Dynamics Land Systems was awarded a $49.3 million contract modification by the U.S. Department of War for the acquisition of Stryker Double V-Hull A1 vehicles. The modification increases the total value of the contract to $278.9 million. General Dynamics was the sole bidder, while work locations and funding will be determined with each individual order. The U.S. Army Contracting Command at Detroit Arsenal is overseeing the agreement, which is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2028. Separately, General Dynamics Mission Systems received a $9.3 million order from the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division to support the development, testing, acquisition, integration and lifecycle support of cybersecurity solutions for the U.S. Navy’s surface-ship combat systems. $GD
