$KO bought below 86. Nice recent run. I like it long term but I would think a temporary pull back into the mid 80s is coming.

Coca-Cola has restarted the sale process for Costa Coffee (Semafor, via Reuters). It bought the chain from Whitbread for 5.1 billion dollars back in 2018.
The process was scrapped earlier this year after private equity bids came in too low (FT). At least one strategic buyer has walked over valuation and fit.
Coffee volumes were flat for all of 2025.

$KO just broke below the 50 DMA and looks like it could drift a bit lower and regress more of the earnings move it had back in July. Room to the $84S along the supporting trendline, at which it should be pretty good entry for longs again.

Coke is also investing in developing new beverages beyond its core soda offerings, including refreshers and dirty sodas.
Gehring, 59, took on his previous role at Monster in February after serving as chief growth officer since 2024. In a press release, Coke said he was “part of the leadership team that drove the company’s growth agenda and modernized commercial capabilities.”
Before joining Monster, Gehring was CEO of Swire Coca-Cola USA, a major bottler of Coke products in the western U.S.

Rob Gehring, the head of Monster Energy
’s Americas business, will leave to run Coca-Cola
’s North America unit, the companies said Friday.
He will take over the position on Dec. 1.
The move comes as Coke tries to maintain growth while U.S. consumers cut back on spending in the face of higher gas and grocery prices. Despite those dynamics, the beverage giant posted net sales growth of 7% in the second quarter, as volume — a key measure of demand — rose 3% in North America.
Though Monster Energy parent Monster Beverage is considerably smaller than Coke, its sales have soared in part due to innovation in the energy drink space. The company reported net sales growth of 20% in its second quarter. $KO

Coca-Cola Hires Monster Energy Executive to Lead North American Operations
Coca-Cola will appoint Rob Gehring, head of Monster Beverage’s Americas business, to lead its North American operations starting Dec. 1. Gehring, 59, joined Monster in 2024 as chief growth officer and assumed his current role in February.
The appointment comes as Coca-Cola seeks to sustain growth amid weaker U.S. consumer spending caused by higher food and gasoline costs. Coke reported 7% net sales growth in Q2, while North American volume increased 3%.
Monster, meanwhile, posted 20% net sales growth in Q2, benefiting from continued innovation in the energy-drink category. Coca-Cola has also been expanding beyond traditional soda with products such as refreshers and dirty sodas.
Before joining Monster, Gehring was CEO of Swire Coca-Cola USA, giving him previous experience within Coke’s bottling network. Coca-Cola shares are up more than 25% this year, while Monster has gained more than 12%.
