$SFD Their bacon is some of the best. We used it all summer with the wife’s garden Beefsteak tomatoes and Romaine lettuce for BLT’s.

$SFD shorts are shorting almost every food stock and as soon as inflation cools these will all explode higher. Gas prices won’t stay elevated forever.

$SFD Can someone explain why this is so oversold to the point of ridiculous? I would appreciate any excuse thanks! The numbers don’t warrant this.

$SFD Too much bad press about low pork prices and higher input costs. This has farther to fall… probably another 6-8 weeks. Then it may stabilize… we will have to see how the holiday sales look

$SFD This is down day after day for a few reasons. 1. only 10% of the company is traded so the current market cap implies the business is worth over 70B. That is overvalued 2. This is currently traded for the value of the dividend yield. As the 10 year yield increases, this becomes relatively less attractive unless it follows suit. So the price continues to fall. 3. pork input prices going up, food, transport, slaughter etc. Margins hetting squeezed which potentially puts that dividend at risk. Eventually it will be a great buy, just not yet

$SFD People got to eat. Aside from their own brands, they manufacture private labels for Kroger, Costco, Publix, Walmart and Sam’s Club, etc. Not only do they focus on pork (SFD is the largest pork producer in the world), SFD is heavily involved in the beef, chicken and turkey business.
