How do you feel about SGOV?

mostly cash now, because i don't like the political climate. Just holding really minimal amounts of $SGOV and $OXLC along with mostly dripped shares of $CLM & $CRF and $21,400 in cds maturing between 10/22/26 - 7/23/27. Total cash income now averages around $1,900/mo. from all of that which is more than enough for me.

$SGOV 30 day yield is currently 3.63%, is this likely to get up to around 4% or not quite?

$SGOV I've been consistently adding shares of SGOV to my portfolio and my wife's as well. In these volatile times and with the Fed not done raising interest rates, this ETF is a great place to park some cash and earn decent income. We also own a lot of $SWVXX as well.

$SGOV serves as a low-cost (0.09% expense ratio) parking spot for idle cash while earning high risk-free interest.

$SGOV I plan to sell my and my wife's considerable shares in SGOV only when the Fed has clearly signaled that rate cuts are imminent...not before, not after, but during the “pivot‑signal window.” That window is usually 2–6 weeks before the first rate cut, when the Fed publicly shifts language from “higher for longer” to “data‑dependent”, inflation prints show consistent cooling, the bond market begins pricing cuts (2‑year Treasury drops sharply), and SGOV’s forward yield expectations start falling. This is the moment when SGOV’s future yield becomes certainly lower, but its current yield is still high. Selling too early sacrifices income. Selling too late means you’re stuck with rapidly declining distributions. The above is just my humble opinion.

$SGOV If the Iran War ends, SGOV’s performance would barely be affected, because SGOV is a pure ultra‑short U.S. Treasury ETF. Its returns come almost entirely from Federal Reserve policy, Treasury bill yields, and short‑term interest‑rate expectations — not from geopolitics. SGOV doesn’t hold oil, defense stocks, emerging markets, or anything tied to Middle East risk. It owns 3‑month T‑bills. That’s it.

Why some investors may consider bonds as 10-year Treasury yield hits 19-year high $sgov “Let’s say you have an investor who’s extremely cautious and wants to sort of wait to see how things settle down before they decide to commit by investing further out on the curve; they could buy something like SGOV,” he says. That ETF includes Treasury bills with maturities of three months or less. “There are a number of different ways for investors to earn income without feeling like they’re taking risks that they’re not comfortable with,” he says. https://www.cnbc.com/2026/09/25/treasury-yield-buy-bonds.html?__source=iosappshare%7Ccom.stocktwits.StockTwits.STShareExtension
