$STLD I've owned this stock since 2021 @$54.87 and it is up +347%. It silently trudges along, posting quarterly dividends of $0.52/share. Today, it is boosted by analyst BNP Paribas raising its Price Target to $275 from $270, with an Outperform Rating. The stock is up 40% YTD. The company reports Q3 earnings on Monday, October 19th. $STLD expects Q3/2026 earnings to improve modestly from sequential Q2 results, supported by stronger shipments, which more than offset metal spread compression as higher pricing was offset by higher steel input costs. Customer order activity remains strong, building on the momentum that began in late 2025, with the current backlog nearly 50% higher than prior-year Q3 levels and extending through Q1/2027. $STLD remains one of the country's most efficient, lower-cost circular EAF operators. The long timeline (2030) and past development hurdles associated with Essar/Mesabi projects mean near-term operational impacts on $STLD are negligible.

$STLD Reports Q3 after the close Monday. The company guided to 5.34 to 5.38 dollars in EPS back in September, vs 3.69 in Q2 and 2.74 a year ago. Consensus is still a bit above that, 5.47 dollars on 6.43 billion dollars in revenue (Transcript Daily). Steel is guided on record shipments and wider metal margins, recycling is guided lower sequentially. Fabrication backlog is nearly 50% above last year and runs through Q1 2027.
