$NOC I don't think the governments selection was the best option for the American defense industry. My guess is Boeing had better lobbyists.

$NOC Northrop Grumman, the defense contractor behind the B-21 and Sentinel, raised its 2026 MTM-adjusted EPS guidance to $29.35–$29.75 from $28.60–$29.10, up $0.70 at the midpoint, with its Q3 results. At the $510.65 close (4pm ET Oct 19), that's ~17.3x the new $29.55 midpoint, a ~$72.5B market value. Other side: Q3 pre-tax earnings fell 2%; EPS rose 3% to $7.89 on a 13.4% tax rate vs 16.9%. Next: call at 9:30am ET today. 9-month adjusted FCF is $965M vs a $3.1–3.5B 2026 target, so Q4 needs ~$2.1–2.5B.

$NOC is trading current margin for a future lock. Backlog is $105B. The B-21 has absorbed about $2B in cumulative losses. Q2 operating margin fell to 10.1% from 13.8%. Fixed-price lots are the cost of multi-decade sustainment. It is one of two U.S. solid rocket motor producers. GaN radars and captive packaging IP raise the barrier. This is not an open-market multiple. #NOC #Defense #B21 #Aerospace

Profit was basically flat vs last year though, 1.12 billion dollars vs 1.10 billion. The bigger move is guidance. FY26 adjusted EPS guide raised to 29.35 to 29.75 dollars, from 28.60 to 29.10 before. $NOC Reports Q3 before the open Tuesday. Consensus is 7.16 dollars in EPS on 11.13 billion dollars in revenue, EPS down from 7.67 a year ago even as sales grow about 7%. Backlog is a record 105 billion dollars, and management raised the full-year guide in July to 43.75 to 44.25 billion in sales. The other thing in the print is whether the Q2 program charges show up again, 68 million in Defense Systems and 91 million in Space Systems.

$NOC Price: $N/A Volume: Average Catalyst: Defense budget talks and upcoming Pentagon contract awards keep investor focus on NOC's B-21 Raider program progress. Resistance: $520 Support: $470 Bull case: A breakout above $520 on rising volume could signal renewed confidence in defense spending tailwinds, pushing shares toward new highs. Bear case: A drop below $470 support may trigger further selling if defense budget concerns or program delays weigh on sentiment. What I'm watching: Watching for a volume surge to confirm direction out of this $470-$520 range.
