Moody’s Ratings downgraded Skillsoft’s corporate credit rating to Caa2 from B3, citing persistent operating challenges and unsustainable leverage ahead of debt maturities in mid-2028. At the same time, Moody’s revised its outlook to stable from negative, citing improved liquidity following a strategic divestiture and restructuring efforts. Adjusted leverage remained elevated at roughly 8x cash EBITDA and 9.5x on a non-cash basis for the 12 months through July 2026. While modest gains in Skillsoft’s enterprise business helped stabilize revenue, they were offset by weakness in consumer operations and continued deterioration in Global Knowledge. Skillsoft held more than $90 million in cash at the end of July, supported by the sale of the loss-making Global Knowledge unit and a $45 million cost-cutting program aimed at improving free cash flow. $SKIL
